One Hour Wargames by Neil Thomas

Sunday pregame by the fireside.  Medieval Knights and Saracens from my Britains collection.

Randomly generated Scenario 2 and armies 3 and 5.

Blue general won the crossroads and by default the hill.

Playing old-school style on the floor in front of the fireplace.

Follow on scenario was generated. Scenario 8.

Saracens won this one.

Blue army marches on to scenario 15 for the final best of three campaign.

  1. Looks great! Couple of questions:
What size playing area did you use? Did you stick to the 3x3? (I am having trouble telling from the pictures)
    What size are those squares?

    Thanks!

  2. Hello,

I love your site! You constantly show me ways to use my stuff in ways that just never occurred to me. I've had Britains lying around forever, looking for a way to get to the table--now their path has been revealed.

If you ever ask yourself whether what you do makes a difference, be assured it does, very much so.

    Best regards,

    Chris Johnson

  4. These figures have been in my collection for years. I based them on 3x3" for Morchauser based rules from the 1960s. I have always been a Morchauser fan. My play area was three foot square.
